iQOO 15 Confirmed To Launch In Malaysia This December

The latest iQOO flagship is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset (2X+6P Oryon cores, Adreno 840 GPU) along with iQOO’s in-house Supercomputing Chip Q3 co-processor, paired with 16GB LPDDR5X-10667 memory (LPDDR5X-9600 for 12GB variant) and UFS 4.1 storage up to 1TB in capacity. That being said, memory and storage specs may change depend on local release.

Focusing on the Supercomputing Chip Q3 bit, this new iteration of iQOO’s co-processor integrates three dedicated cores – DA Core (we’re not sure what the letters mean here, although in Chinese it says “rasterization core” instead), RT Core, and AI Core. The combination of three offers 2K super resolution and frame generation, as well as AI-powered super-sampling a la NVIDIA DLSS for sharper visuals in supported titles.

On the display side, the iQOO 15 features a co-developed Samsung M14 LEAD OLED display with 3168 x 1440 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, along with up to 2,600 nits of global brightness and 6,000 nits peak brightness. Battery-wise, it has a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 40W wireless fast charging support. It’s also among the first globally-sold devices under vivo’s family of brands to run on OriginOS 6, vivo’s revamped version of the Android fork that supersedes Funtouch OS.

Of course, come this December we’ll see the final specs for the local release, along with pricing and availability information by then. Until that happens, watch this space.
