Iran has accused US President Donald Trump of distorting or ignoring key provisions of the planned framework agreement.

The Fars news agency reported on Friday, citing "informed sources," that Trump was attempting to promote a false sense of success, and that the draft agreement is still in the final approval phase. The news agency is close to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Specifically, the report said, Tehran contradicts Trump’s statements on three points.

Firstly, the report alleged Trump ignored the fact that, immediately after signing, $12 billion from frozen Iranian foreign accounts must be released. Without this release, Iran will reportedly not enter into any further phases of negotiation.

Secondly, the agreement contains no provision for the toll-free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, it was further stated.

Thirdly, Iran rejects the claim that enriched uranium should be dismantled or destroyed, arguing the memorandum of understanding contains no such provision.

Furthermore, Iran points to the demand for a complete ceasefire in Lebanon in the interests of the Hezbollah militia.
