
Iran is reporting more Israeli attacks in various parts of the country, including one in Hamdan province in the north-west on Monday morning, the Tasnim news agency, which is close to the powerful Revolutionary Guards, said.
Explosions were heard in southern Tehran, the Nour-News agency reported. A spokesman for the city administration said underground car parks were being prepared as shelters.
Iranian media had earlier reported sounds of explosions and activated air defences in the capital Tehran.
Speculation on social media about an attack on the airport in the metropolis of Shiraz was rejected in a report by the Mehr news agency. The airport has suspended operations until 2300 (1930 GMT), Tasnim reported.
Israel has been carrying out strikes on Iran since the morning in response to Iranian attacks on Israel launched on Sunday evening.
The Israeli military said it has been targeting Iran's air defences, among other things.
