Iran’s Revolutionary Guards say they targeted an Israel-linked commercial vessel in a drone attack, setting it on fire in the Gulf.

TEHRAN: Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they targeted an Israel-linked commercial vessel in a drone attack. The strike set the ship on fire in the Gulf.

On their Sepah News website, the Guards stated they targeted the MSC Ishyka at the Khalifa Bin Salman port in Bahrain. They described the vessel as “owned by the Israeli regime and flying the flag of a third country”.

The Guards naval forces had earlier said on X that the ship was attacked “in the Strait of Hormuz”. They confirmed a drone struck the vessel linked to the Zionist regime, causing it to catch fire.

The MarineTraffic website reported the Liberian-flagged ship was still moored at the port in Bahrain.
