Kota Kinabalu: Not all heroes wear capes, some wear a full body Iron Man costume to scale Mount Kinabalu to raise awareness for Duchene muscular dystrophy (DMD).
Cosplayer Yohan Charles Jayasuria, 41, was elated when he finally conquered the highest peak in Borneo in full suit on Monday after his first attempt was called-off in 2020.
“I have climbed Mount Kinabalu twelve times but this is the second time I attempted to climb it from start to finish in full Iron Man suit,” he told the Daily Express, Monday.
“The first attempt was in 2020 but the mission was incomplete due to bad weather.
“This time around, the weather condition was not as bad as before…but it was still challenging, especially when my movement was a bit restricted while donning the costume."
