About 3:30 p.m., Jamaludin Amin, 45, of Kampung Penor, had an incident where a 0.75-meter-long iron rod pierced his arm and struck his left ribcage.

Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu, the chief of Kuantan District Police, stated that an initial inquiry revealed the victim was traveling from Penor to Tanjung Lumpur in a Perodua Alza vehicle.

The case is currently being investigated.

With this incident and another recent incident of an iron rod from a lorry, puncturing tyres of 30 cars, netizens are pushing for JPJ and The Transport Ministry to increase road safety for drivers and motorcycle riders.

"I'm not someone important, but if our supervision from higher ups are lacking, the penalty isn't too high, lorry owners are not going to be worried about anything because in the end, only the drivers suffer repercussions," said a netizen on X.
