Hold a fresh fish and try luring a cat with it. You’ll see the feline come running towards you. It’s like serving a cup of blood and waiting for the mosquitoes to feast on it! (Pardon the comparison, it’s Halloween!)

A cat with its hunger craving will ignore a fish, at most but can you imagine a cat running away when it has a raw fish in its sight? According to a TikTok post by @naemdaos, Naem, who is from Ipoh took out a raw fish from the container that he stored in the fridge and tried giving it to his cat. Did the cat grab the seafood immediately?

The cat made it clear it was a big “NOPE”! It ran away as if it had seen a ghost!

The more Naem chased his cat with the fish, the further (and faster) the feline ran away. Is the fish not its cup of tea?

“Is my cat damaged?” Naem said in the caption.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Naem said that his cat rarely has fish on its menu and that is because its appetite has been “trained” for cat food.

“Since it was still a kitten, I’ve trained it to eat more kibbles and wet food. I’ve never taught it to eat anything other than those two,” he said.

Naem also told WORLD OF BUZZ that the cat had been with him for 7 months, and he found it on the street back then.

“I found it on the street when it was still small – a baby kitten.”

Netizens found Naem’s experience relatable, especially if the pet cat has been trained to eat only certain things.

“My cat eats only kibbles. No fried chicken, no fried fish. It’ll show you an expression if you give it those.”

“My cat is picky. It only eats fresh fish, and not fish with red eyes.”

“It actually makes your life easier if your cat doesn’t eat fish. Sometimes, when I’m handling fish in the kitchen, my cat will come to me.”
