SHAH ALAM, March 5 — Up to 11 Iltizam Pemberdayaan Rakyat Selangor programmes under Iltizam Selangor Penyayang (ISP) are still active and ongoing for the benefit of the state’s residents.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the programmes include the Smart Selangor Bus and mobility vans, which benefit over 7.7 million people in the state.
Meanwhile, the Jualan Ehsan Rakyat (now known as Jualan Ehsan Rahmah) affordable basic necessities sales programme has reached over seven million Selangor residents, along with property tax exemptions for 426,656 individuals.
“The Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas) initiative has similarly benefitted 27,542 families, followed by Skim Air Darul Ehsan (Sade) at 296,000, and Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) at 188,077.
“In addition, 78,055 families have received assistance through the Jom Shopping Perayaan initiative, 3,000 p-hailing riders via the Roda Darul Ehsan (RiDE) initiative, 22 individuals via the Selangor Legal Aid Fund, and 47 via the Independent Living Centre (ILC).
“All 11 ISP programmes remain active and ongoing, implemented by the state government to ensure Selangor’s people can benefit for their own and for their families’ well-being,” he said.
Amirudin was responding to a query from Sungai Burong state assemblyman Mohd Zamri Mohd Zainuldin, on the status of Selangor’s people empowerment programmes during the State Legislative Assembly session today.
Since July 2022, the state government has implemented 47 programmes under ISP. In addition to all Selangor residents, ISP focuses on efforts to alleviate the burdens of the state’s low-income group (B40).
Divided into six sectors, Iltizam Pemberdayaan Rakyat Selangor has 12 initiatives, including Iltizam Kesihatan Selangor (11 initiatives), Iltizam Pendidikan Selangor (eight initiatives), Iltizam Perumahan Selangor (seven initiatives), Iltizam Keusahawanan Selangor (four initiatives), and Iltizam Mesra Anak Selangor (five initiatives).
