The Israeli military said early on Thursday it had again struck Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon, despite a ceasefire that has formally been in place since mid-April.
The military said the targets were located near the city of Tyre, a Hezbollah stronghold in southern Lebanon. No immediate information on casualties was available.
The Israeli army also said it had intercepted a "suspicious" aerial object over an area in southern Lebanon where Israeli troops were operating, describing it as a suspected drone attack targeting its forces.
The claims could not immediately be independently verified.
The ceasefire was agreed between Israel and the Lebanese government, which is not itself a party to the conflict. Hezbollah, the Iran-backed Shi'ite militia, has rejected negotiations with Israel.
In practice, however, hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah militia have continued on a nearly daily basis.
