Five Palestinians have been killed in an Israeli attack in the southern Gaza Strip, medical sources at Nasser Hospital said on Sunday.
The hospital said 15 other people were injured in the attack on a police checkpoint near Khan Younis. The Palestinian Islamist group Hamas controls the police force in the Gaza Strip.
A spokesman for the Israeli military said reports of the attack were being investigated.
Officially, a ceasefire has been in place in the Gaza Strip since October last year, but Israeli attacks and armed incidents continue to occur.
