As the “mother of all gardens” in Malaysia, Putrajaya Botanical Garden, covering 93 hectares in Precinct 1, is significant as a premier “living laboratory” and tropical biodiversity conservation center, honored as Asia's Most amazing Park in 2008 by the Royal Chelsea Foundation. It serves as a vital green lung and educational hub for native Malaysian plant taxonomy and global floral research, featuring more than 750 species of plants a collection of 13 plant themes from different continents. The garden is divided into 3 areas namely: Decorative Garden, Ethnobotany Park, and Research & Rehabilitation. (www.ppj.gov.my)

My son, Farouq and his best half, Nadja and their son, Daniel invited my wife, Zarina & I for a greenery tour around Putrajaya Botanical Garden, traveling with eco-train leisure ride - TRENBO - suitable for senior citizen and young children. As a “green lung” for the federal administrative capital of Malaysia, it offers a crucial recreational escape, providing jogging paths, walking, and cycling, and picnic areas, promoting nature-based wellness in hectic urban environment. TRENBO passed-by cultural & architectural landmark - the Astaka Morocco Pavilion, which adds a distinct international heritage dimension.

TRENBO also passed-by the explorer's trail featuring a canopy bridge, allowing visitors to walk through the treetops; Palm Hill that displays over 750 spices; Floral Gardens includes Canna Walk, Hibiscus Walk & Bougainvillea Tunnel; Ecological Pond demonstrates a self-sustaining water ecosystem.

As CEO of Sejahtera Leadership Initiative & Global Sejahtera, I recommend Putrajaya Botanical Garden is a must-see greenery attraction in Putrajaya due to its uniqueness. It is an ideal outdoor classroom to introduce children to the reality of sustainable development and environmental stewardship. Moving beyond standard textbooks. It allows children to experience the core principles of ecology and conservation firsthand and through tangible interaction. I discover that observing the active lake ecosystem teaches children how aquatic plants, fish, and clean water rely heavily on one another to stay healthy.
