What would you do if a routine grocery order suddenly came with an extra RM10,000? As part of the AEON BiG x foodpanda Malaysia partnership launch, customers who ordered groceries from AEON BiG through the foodpanda app stood a chance to win weekly cash prizes through the ‘Order and Win’ campaign.
For these three Malaysians, a routine grocery order brought a little more than just groceries.
In difficult times, even the smallest gesture can mean the world

Munirah Kamaruddin, a medical assistant at a private hospital, recently went through a challenging period in her life. She had just suffered a miscarriage when her father also had a fall and needed financial assistance to pay for a wheelchair, milk, and medication to support his recovery. At the same time, Munirah was also trying to settle outstanding repayments on her education loan.
It was a stressful period, but Munirah saw it as a test she had to get through. So when she found out she had been selected for the prize, she was especially grateful for this monetary relief during a time of great need.
With both her and her husband’s demanding jobs, Munirah regularly uses foodpanda to order meals and groceries when she doesn’t have time to make a trip out to the stores. She sometimes even helps place food orders for colleagues in the hospital while they’re busy attending to patients.
Fruits and veggies are a favourite in their home, thanks to this Momma

Ask Nurul Wahidah’s children what they like to eat, and you might get a surprisingly healthy answer. Fruits and vegetables, including carrots, are among their favourites. With four children still growing up, Wahidah places a lot of importance on their nutrition and development.
She often prepares their lunchboxes and makes sure there are plenty of fruits and vegetables at home. The family also makes time for badminton, BBQs, picnics, and family dinners at home. As she recently suffered a broken hand, which made carrying out everyday tasks more difficult, Wahidah has been turning to foodpanda to order groceries for the family for added convenience.
When she and her husband, Mohd Hatta Aziz, found out they had been selected for the prize, it was welcome news for the family. The couple also plans to share their rezeki with their extended family across 10 households.
At 18, she’s already paying for her own education

Nur Adila Sefia is already used to figuring things out on her own. Originally from Perak, she is now studying at a technical entrepreneurship university in Kuala Lumpur, away from her family. She cooks for herself and her roommate when she can, but often turns to foodpanda for convenience and sometimes for safety, to avoid having to head out alone at night for food or groceries.
Adila is also self-funding her education. Before university, she worked part-time at a café and saved money to help cover her studies and daily expenses, while doing what she could to ease the burden on her family. The prize will go towards her university fees and living expenses as she continues her studies in Kuala Lumpur.
More than just a grocery run
For Munirah, Wahidah and Adila, the grocery orders were made for very different reasons. But they each show how a little convenience can make everyday life that bit easier.
With AEON BiG now on foodpanda, customers can shop from more than 16,000 grocery and household products across 19 stores nationwide, at the same prices as in-store, with delivery in under an hour.
