It's no secret that Malaysian roads aren't as smooth as we'd like them to be. In fact, every now and then, no matter how much we try to avoid them, we inevitably encounter potholes. Local influencer Ceddy Ang recently took to social media to share his predicament after hitting an unavoidable pothole, resulting in a punctured car tyre.

Ceddy explained how he was en route to Genting when he unexpectedly encountered a large pothole near the Plaza Tol Gombak. He wrote, "Nak rilek kat Genting je today pun tak jadi dah" ("Can't even relax in Genting today").

Upon calling for a tow truck, the driver arrived and wasted no time in lightening the mood, joking with Ceddy that the ride with him would feel like a rollercoaster in Genting. Despite facing a difficult situation, Ceddy found amusement in the banter.

However, he remained frustrated with the incident, emphasizing that he wasn't speeding and questioning who was responsible for fixing the pothole. Ceddy highlighted that the incident occurred at night, on a poorly lit road, making it difficult for anyone to spot the pothole in time to avoid it. He shared that even a motorcyclist had fallen after hitting the same pothole.

Ceddy's concerns resonated with many netizens, who expressed similar sentiments and tagged the Road Safety Department (JKJR) to take action.

If faced with a similar situation, would you join in the banter with the tow truck driver, or would it only exacerbate your frustration knowing that your plans were disrupted due to the incident?
