Please do not ever think that failing SPM guarantees you a second chance in the future as a public figure. Malaysian TikToker, Leona, who admitted that she could make up to RM30,000 shared what she thought about education.

“I personally think education should be a priority and I hope to set an example for the younger generation out there.”

Leona, who is also the daughter of Malaysian actor Azhar Sulaiman recently shared her take in a podcast “Apa Cerita?”, and said that education is important in shaping someone’s personality as well as critical thinking skills.

“My advice to all influencers and students out there, please continue your studies! It’s not about to be better than anyone else but how it shapes your personality.”

Leona also highlighted what she thinks about critical thinking skills, which she finds many people are lacking in today.

When she had more free time in the past during the Covid-19 lockdown, Leona had the luxury of working as an influencer, where she earned around RM20,000 to RM30,000. Despite her massive pay, Leona had never thought about stopping there. She learned about online content creation just to kill time due to the boredom caused by the lockdown.

She is now studying in the UK and doesn’t have much time for content creation anymore and reminded the newbies who are excited about being an influencer about the harsh truth.

“There’s no saying in how much you can make. It’s all about your relevance to the public and how good your content are.”

During the podcast, Leona also jokingly told LHDN not to slide into her DM after finding out how much she made in the past.

Additionally, the 22-year-old also revealed that back then, she used to work part-time as a waitress at a hotel for 3 months, solely because of her curiosity and looking for experience.

You can watch the full podcast below.

Fortunately, Leona had a lot of wise words to share with her peers and youth who are genuinely not concerned about their future after skipping SPM. What other advice do you have for those who are hell-bent on becoming content creator without furthering their education?
