KUALA LUMPUR: ITMAX System Bhd, an artificial intelligence-powered integrated digital infrastructure service provider, posted a revenue of RM65.9 million for Q1 ended Dec 31, 2026 (FY26), representing an increase of 29.8% year-on-year (YoY).
The digital infrastructure solutions segment remained the group’s major revenue contributor, accounting for 83.0% of overall revenue.
The segment recorded a 47.1% Y-o-Y increase in revenue to RM54.7 million.
The group’s profit before tax (PBT) and profit after tax rose by 32.6% and 32.9%, respectively, to RM36.3 million and RM27.5 million.
ITMAX reported 24.2% growth in profit after tax and minority interests (PATAMI) to RM25.0 million.
ITMAX System managing director/chief executive officer William Tan Wei Lun said the group kicked off 2026 with another quarter of strong growth, driven by the continued expansion of its digital infrastructure solutions segment and recurring income base.
“Our investments and deployments in smart city infrastructure have begun to contribute positively to the group’s performance.
“During the quarter, we continued to strengthen our presence in Johor by securing additional contracts, further reinforcing our position in the state’s smart city ecosystem.
“We remain optimistic that the growth momentum will continue, as smart city infrastructure increasingly plays a critical role in enhancing urban management,” he said.
On May 19, ITMAX System’s subsidiary, Southmax Sdn Bhd, bagged a RM79.9 million variation order (VO) by Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP).
Under the VO, ITMAX will deploy additional smart traffic light controllers across the Iskandar Puteri area, further expanding the existing smart traffic system under MBIP.
The VO will run until 2038, with an option to extend until 2046.
“We are pleased to receive this VO from MBIP, which further strengthens ITMAX’s footprint in Johor and reflects the growing confidence in our AI-powered smart traffic solutions.
“Our system uses advanced AI video analytics, adaptive traffic control technology, and integrated digital infrastructure to optimise traffic flow in real time, improve road safety, and support more efficient urban mobility management.
“Beyond conventional traffic lights, our smart traffic platform enables data-driven traffic coordination and intelligent decision-making through our in-house developed traffic simulation and management capabilities.
“As Iskandar Puteri continues to emerge as a strategic economic hub within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone, we believe intelligent traffic infrastructure will play an increasingly important role in supporting urban growth, improving connectivity, and enhancing the overall quality of life for the community,” he said.
