Liverpool midfielder James Milner has lauded Adrian for filling in during the absence of Alisson.
The Spaniard did not lose a single Premier League game after the Brazilian went down injured on the opening game.
And Milner says it is a luxury to have two quality goalkeepers.
"I think Adrian did fantastically well to step in at the time he did," said Milner.
"He had not trained much, he wasn't match fit but he made some massive saves at big points in games.
"He did a fantastic job and slipped straight into the squad. I can't say enough good things about him.
"But Ali, we know how good he is. How well he did in his first season and what he brings to the team, both in terms of his goalkeeping and his character but also his ability with his feet.
"He is obviously massive. He will help us again and hopefully it won't take him too long to get back up to speed. But the job Adrian did was fantastic."
