MAtt Jackson has been named president of Grasshoppers of Zurich.

Jackson leaves Wolves as the head of strategic player marketing at Compton Park to take charge of the Swiss club. Both Wolves and Grasshoppers share the same owners.

Sporting director Matt Hobbs said: Since he joined Wolves, Matt has been a massive asset to the football club and has revolutionised the way we approach our young and developing players, where they go to develop and ultimately how they exit the club, if and when they eventually do so.

He has been an excellent colleague to us all, and I'd like to thank Matt for his work at Wolves and wish him the very best of luck with his new role."

Executive chairman Jeff Shi said: Matt Jackson has been a top member of the team at Wolves and has laid excellent foundations for us to continue his progress after he departs.

Matt's entrepreneurialism and football business acumen mean that he was always expected to keep progressing in his career and I would like to wish him the best of luck with his move to Zurich."
