  • Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has halted production at its key UK manufacturing sites, including Halewood, Solihull, and Wolverhampton, following a significant cyber attack.
  • Factory staff have reportedly been instructed to work from home until at least next Tuesday, with production line employees advised not to return before 9 September.
  • The cyber incident, which JLR revealed on Tuesday, has severely disrupted both production and sales, and is also affecting vehicle repairs and customer handovers.
  • A group of young hackers reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack on Telegram, sharing screenshots purporting to be from JLR's internal IT system.
  • JLR, owned by India's Tata Motors, shut down systems on Sunday and is working to restart operations, stating there is no evidence of customer data theft.
