
Kota Kinabalu: State Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim, who collapsed while giving his speech in an event in Pitas on Saturday, is now in stable condition.
He was immediately rushed to the district hospital in Pitas around 4pm, and the doctor confirmed that his condition was stable, according to his Press Secretary Joanes Robert Johnny.
“Datuk Jahid was giving a speech to officiate a ceremony of handing over the Water Supply System under the MEKAR Sabah programme by Yayasan Petronas in Mangkapon Darat on Saturday," he said to Daily Express when contacted.
“He suddenly collapsed when giving the speech in the event and was rushed to the Pitas hospital.
“After the doctor confirmed that Datuk Jahid is in stable condition, he was transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) 1 in an ambulance and left the Pitas hospital at 4.50pm."
