According to SLI Founding Convener, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, that “Green living is a lifestyle that strives to create balance in preserving & protecting Earth's natural resources, habitats, human civilization and biodiversity. In short, green living is a means of developing sustainable habits in one's daily life so that their routines work alongside the resources of nature instead of depleting them to the environment or ecological system.” (dzulrazak51@gmail.com)

Last week during our family vacation in Jakarta, we were really excited to visit JPO, the first true Premium Outlet Center in Indonesia with Green Building certification. It is located in Alam Sutera, Kota Tangerang, owned by a Genting Simon Center, just 45-minute drive from Central Jakarta, making it a highly accessible shopping destination for visitors. Fresh air, green spaces and open walkways, shopping feels lighter here. Sustainability is the heart of it all, with eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient design & expansive green spaces that enhance comfort while minimizing environmental impact. Throughout the space, Indonesia's cultural heritage comes to life through thoughtfully crafted architectural details & installations. (https://www.premiumoutlets.co.id)

I noticed the landscape at JPO is articulated through two distinct ecological personas. To the West, a sinuous water channel traces the corridor, an elegant abstraction of river descending from the highlands. In contrast, the Eastern passage presents a curated collection of textures and forms. Interestingly, both corridors unite to create a seamless experience where nature and commerce harmonize, transforming circulation into a profound unique spatial odyssey.

I was happy to inform my children that Genting Group is the holding company of PMO, one of the Asia's leading and best managed multinationals led by Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, a true visionary entrepreneur who is a Malaysian Chinese billionaire businessman. (www.gentingmalaysia.com>board_of_directors)
