Kota Kinabalu: Jakel Silk House Sabah held its annual tradition by distributing 1,200 bubur lambuk packs during the month of Ramadan.
Jakel Sabah Branch Manager Mohd Amran Mohd Nor said the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme since 2018 was a continuous effort by Jakel in pampering and sharing sustenance with various parties including tahfiz children and their customers.
“Among those who received bubur lambuk were Al-Hafiz Core Islamic Integration Middle School (SMITI), Al-Hafidz Islamic Elementary School (SRIAH) Bandar Sierra, Maahad Tahfiz Wal Tarbiyyah Nurul Hikmah Mosque and Kampung Delima Melayu Religious School.
“This programme, in cooperation with Adabi Sdn Bhd, will also distribute lambuk porridge to nearby police stations.
“It is hoped that this donation will be able to reap some blessings in this holy month,” he told the media at the Lambuk Porridge Distribution Session here, on Sunday.
Meanwhile, he said Jakel introduced Rahmah Sales Campaign as a sign of responding to the government’s call to ensure that everyone could shop at Jakel at a reasonable price.
“Alhamdulillah the campaign that has been implemented since the beginning of Ramadan received a very encouraging response with a discount of up to 60 per cent from the original price given to customers,” he added.
