KOTA KINABALU: Jalan Tun Fuad Stephen will be temporarily closed on Jan 16 from 6am to 8am to make way for the ceremonial parade marking the opening of the Sabah and Sarawak Legislative Year 2026.
The Public Works Department (JKR) Sabah said the closure is necessary to facilitate the official procession, advising road users to plan their journeys early and follow traffic directions issued by the police.
Motorists are urged to use alternative routes via Jalan Istiadat and Jalan Bukit Bendera Upper, with JKR apologising for any inconvenience caused during the two-hour closure.
