Dr Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, today extended support to Gurpreet Singh, the young delivery worker injured in the recent blast near the BSF Headquarters in Jalandhar.
Dr Sahney spoke to Gurpreet’s father, Kashmir Singh, and enquired in detail about Gurpreet’s health and recovery. Expressing concern over the financial hardship faced by the family after Gurpreet’s scooter was destroyed in the blast, Dr Sahney informed that he will personally provide a new bike worth Rs 1.25 lakh to help Gurpreet resume his livelihood at the earliest.
Dr Sahney reiterated his commitment towards supporting Punjabis affected by any unfortunate incidents and ensuring that they will be empowered with sustainable livelihood opportunities.
