James Handy’s girlfriend describes actor’s final moments before his alleged murder

• Actor James Handy, known for his role in Top Gun: Maverick, was fatally stabbed on the front lawn of his Tarzana, California home on 3 June.
• His long-term girlfriend, Wendy Gledhill, whose son Michael Gledhill is charged with allegedly murdering Handy, has revealed what happened in the moments before the attack.
• She told The Daily Mail: “James had gotten up to get the newspaper at about 9 o'clock, but he didn't make the coffee like he usually does.”
• Wendy added: “I can only assume my son was already out there and they started to argue, from my understanding, on the front yard.”
• She also revealed that her son has schizophrenia and had allegedly stopped taking his medication the week before the attack.
