RANAU: Former Assistant Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Datuk James Ratib began his official duties as the new Minister of Community Development and People’s Welfare (KPMKR) Thursday.
He arrived at the Ministry at Wisma Tun Fuad Stephen, and was greeted by Permanent Secretary, Datuk Lee Chun Khiong, accompanied by the Director of the General Welfare Department, Jais Asri.
The ministry was previously held by Datuk Shahelmey Yahya who was appointed as the new Deputy Chief Minister III besides also holding the portfolio of Minister of Public Works.
James, who is also Sugut Assemblyman, was sworn in as a minister, at Istana Seri Kinabalu, Wednesday.
