MANILA, Philippines — South Korean actor Jang Dong-yoon has announced that he is getting married to actress Kim Seung-yoon this October.
The Actor shared the news through an Instagram post on Tuesday, August 25, saying he wanted to personally inform his fans about the major milestone in his life.
“Hello, this is Jang Dong Yoon. I’m writing this because I have some news that I wanted to share with you personally today. This coming October, I will be marrying someone I have been with for a long time,” Jang said in his announcement, as translated into English.
The actor said the couple will have a private wedding ceremony attended by their families.
“We plan to hold a quiet wedding ceremony in the form of a worship service with both families in attendance,” he added.
Jang’s agency, BH Entertainment, confirmed the upcoming marriage, saying, “Jang Dong Yoon and Kim Seung Yoon will quietly hold a wedding ceremony in October with family gathered.”
Jang Dong-yoon and Kim Seung-yoon have previously worked together on several projects.
The two first collaborated in the 2019 Korean drama “The Tale of Nokdu,” where they appeared alongside each other.
Their professional partnership continued in 2023 when Kim Seung-yoon starred in “Please Be My Ear,” Jang Dong-yoon’s directorial debut short film.
Kim also starred in “The Yeast,” a film directed by Jang Dong-yoon that was released in April.
Jang is known for his performances in dramas such as “The Tale of Nokdu,” “Search,” “Daily Dose of Sunshine,” and “Like Flowers in Sand.”
With their wedding set for October, Jang Dong-yoon and Kim Seung-yoon are preparing to begin a new chapter together in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their families.
