GMA Music is dedicating the month of March to singer Janno Gibbs, highlighting his recording career ahead of the release of his new single, “Pinay Pa Rin,” on April 10.
The label said it will feature Gibbs’ discography throughout the month, including his most-streamed tracks on Spotify and several television theme songs. The campaign precedes what Gibbs describes as a “homecoming” release under the label.
“Really excited, nostalgic to be back home in GMA Music,” Gibbs said. “I’m also excited about the new single because this is a fun song but still anthemic. It’s like the counterpart of ‘Pinakamagandang Lalaki,’ but this time it’s about Pinay beauty.”
Gibbs returns to GMA Music, where many of his earlier hits were produced. His upcoming single, “Pinay Pa Rin,” reflects the vocal style associated with his earlier recordings, marked by smooth phrasing and ad-libs.
The Kapuso singer said the song aims to spotlight Filipina beauty, which he believes is rarely the sole focus of contemporary tracks.
“I don’t think we write enough songs for Pinay beauty. It’s really rare that a song is specifically about the beauty of the Filipina. This is an honest opinion — I think Filipinas are the most beautiful among all races,” he said. He cited one of his favorite lines from the song: “Cause I’ve been around the world for the perfect girl and it always brings me back to you.”
As part of the March programming, GMA Music will highlight Gibbs’ 20 most-streamed songs on Spotify and release weekly content on its official social media platforms featuring his recordings.
“Pinay Pa Rin” will be released on April 10.
