Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Star Organising Secretary Terence Sinti hit out at PKR Sec-Gen Fuziah Salleh who accused Star President Dr Jeffrey Kitingan of being inconsistent and only speaking out whenever the state election is approaching.
Terence, who is also Star Kiulu Division Chief said on the contrary, Dr Jeffrey is very consistent in his struggle, to the point that he was once imprisoned just for demanding Sabah’s rights and autonomy.
AdvertisementHe has repeatedly emphasised and explained that the Sabah Government needs to be administered by local parties, and the Sabah Government will then cooperate with whoever controls the Central Government.
“As voiced by Dr Jeffrey, we want Sabah to have the power and political autonomy to make decisions without referring to Malaya.

“The same goes for the demands related to MA63, which have been going on for decades, and the right to 35 per cent of parliamentary seats for Sabah and Sarawak.

“Now, thanks to the struggle and exposure by Dr Jeffrey, local parties are becoming more vocal and bold in their demands,” he said.
Referring to Dr. Jeffrey’s speech at the recent launch of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Youth, he affirmed the importance of Sabah with the slogan “Rumah Kita, Kita Jaga” (Our house, we care for) saying that the concept in itself speaks for the leader’s inclination.
