
PENAMPANG: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan and Majaps president Datuk Seri Clarence Bongkos Malakun have been elected as Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA) deputy presidents for the 2025-2028 term.
Six vice presidents were also elected, namely Datuk James Ratib, Datuk Robert Tawik, Datuk Juil Nuatim, Datuk Daniel Kinsik, Datuk Hendrus Anding, and John Chryso Masabal.
The new central committee members include Christopher Mandut, Akian Ahkiew, Jude Abel Logijin, Charles Dalansing, Jos @ George Saidi, Datuk Evaristus Gungkit, Datuk Peter Jino Allion, Datin Elaine Nora Amandus, Florence J Underwood, Datuk Jonnybone Kurum, and Melon Yaming.
Three candidates, including Datuk John Anthony, contested the two deputy president posts, 12 vied for six vice president positions, and 43 competed for 11 central committee seats.
Huguan Siou Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan re-elected unopposed as KDCA president, will appoint three additional deputy presidents, four vice presidents, and 10 central committee members, with around 800 delegates voting at the 16th KDCA triennial delegates conference at Hongkod Koisaan on Sunday.
