SHAH ALAM, Aug 29 — The second phase of the Jelajah Selangor Penyayang roadshow programme will resume at the end of September and run to mid-October.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the roadshow to promote the state government’s initiatives include the districts of Klang, Sabak Bernam, Sepang and Hulu Selangor, focusing on the First Selangor Plan’s (RS-1) agenda and providing the gist of the 2023 Selangor Budget.

“At the end of September, we will resume the roadshow programme in four districts, until the middle of October. It will include elements from RS-1 and the upcoming Selangor Budget.

“The 2023 budget is expected to be presented in October or November,” he said after officiating the closing ceremony of the Bulan Falak Selangor 2022 programme organised by the Selangor Mufti’s Department, at De Palma Hotel earlier today.

Jelajah Selangor Penyayang commenced on June 19 at Taman Kosas Ampang Jaya, subsequently heading to Dataran Pantai Morib in Kuala Langat and Stadium Utama Kuala Selangor.

The roadshow’s first phase was held at Dataran Boulevard Laman Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya, and Padang Awam Batu Caves in Gombak.

Jelajah Selangor Penyayang, a reorganisation of Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat, was made possible with a RM600 million allocation, so Selangor residents can benefit from the state government’s initiatives.

The roadshow will also see the Selangor Saring free health screening programme to help detect chronic diseases among the public, with a RM1.5 million expenditure and expected to benefit up to 5,000 people.
