- Later in the episode, Clarkson was seen in a hospital bed, stating that some of his treatment had “gone awry” and he would be staying for a while.
- The 66-year-old had previously told fans to expect “sombre news” ahead of the final two episodes.
- In an Instagram video posted on the day the episodes dropped, Clarkson described them as not being “bucolic and charming and cheerful”.
