Jese Rodriguez is delighted with his move to Sampdoria.
The 29-year-old Spaniard joined Sampdoria as a free agent, after leaving Turkish side Ankaragucu.
I am very happy to be here at Sampdoria," Jes told the official club channel.
When the opportunity presented itself to come here, I did not have any doubts. I watch a lot of games and saw some with Sampdoria too, I received a warm welcome from everyone.
My objective is to give my best to help the team. I want to give my contribution so we can earn points and improve. I see the team is competitive, we were unlucky in some games, but this is football. We've got to keep taking it one game at a time, always having faith in ourselves and a positive mentality."
On working with Dejan Stankovic, he added: I spoke to the coach, he told me what I need to do on the field, he knows which roles I can play. I told him that I have faith in him and in my teammates, so I believe that by working hard every day, we can turn this situation around and ensure Sampdoria stay in Serie A and make these fantastic fans happy."
