
LABUAN: A team from Jetama Sdn Bhd visited the project site of the Large Scale Solar (LSS) on 24th February 2023 at Kg. Bukit Kalam, FT. Labuan.
The solar photovoltaic plant is developed and operated by Solar PV Power Sdn Bhd, a joint venture company between a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jetama Sdn Bhd; Jetama Energy Sdn Bhd, and Symbior Solar Siam Ltd, of which Jetama Energy holds 70% equity.
Jetama is a subsidiary of Sabah Development Bhd, a wholly-owned Sabah state company. This 10MWac plant will be Jetama’s first solar venture. The ground mounted design will be using the tracker system, the first of its type here. Directors and staff of Jetama Energy Sdn Bhd
The plant is presently under construction and is expected to be commissioned by the end of June 2023.
The power purchase agreement (PPA) was signed between Solar PV Power Sdn Bhd and Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) as the off taker of the power on 15th December 2021 for a tenure of 21 years.
Among the directors of the company who visited the site were Datuk Yussof Abd Manan, Dato’ Juhari Bin Janan, Dr. Akian Ah Kiew, and Chief Executive Officer, En. Ahmad Naim Bin Uddang.
On 22nd February 2023, Solar PV Power achieved its financial drawdown with Ambank (M) Bhd.
