Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Islamic Religious Affairs Department (Jheains) denied that a group of Chinese tourists were treated rudely by a City Mosque staff, recently, as depicted in a viral video.
Its Director Datuk Jumain Abdul Ghani said the Kota Kinabalu City Mosque Tourism Centre operates under regulations approved by the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry (Motac).
AdvertisementThese stipulate that tourists must adhere to specific conditions, including purchasing tickets and attire.
He claimed the tourists in question had travelled independently to the State without engaging any registered Sabah tour operator.
