JK Rowling has shared her support for the Princess of Wales after she met with Queen Camilla at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
The author, who recently explored her "shared passion for books" with the Queen, reposted a heartwarming tribute to Catherine on social media platform X.
The post, which Ms Rowling reposted to her followers, congratulated the princess on her recent Three Peaks achievement.
"Whether you’re a royalist, republican, or couldn’t care less, this not only acknowledged gratitude for those who support cancer patients, but absolutely made some unforgettable days for the hikers she met," the caption read, accompanied by a photo of Catherine.
The Princess of Wales has earned significant praise for her hiking exploits.
However, Buckingham Palace has faced severe criticism for the Queen's endorsement of Ms Rowling.
The Palace shared a photograph of the pair on Tuesday, accompanied by the caption: "With a shared passion for books and a deep commitment to children reading for pleasure, The Queen and author J.K. Rowling have met at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.
"Her Majesty and Ms Rowling discussed the importance of ensuring that young people have access to books and the vital part reading plays in opening doors for future generations."

The meeting between Queen Camilla and the Harry Potter author took place on Tuesday at the royal residence in Edinburgh.
Both Ms Rowling and the Queen are vocal supporters of victims of domestic and sexual violence and abuse.
But transgender activists and their supporters inundated the comments section of the post, with some branding Ms Rowling "Queen of the transphobes".
India Willoughby, who has frequently sparred with the Harry Potter author, declared: "The Royal Family standing proudly with probably the biggest trans hate preacher in the world. Shows how out of touch the monarchy is. Tick-tock."

Activist Aiden Neal stated: "The Royal Family should not be posing for photographs with one of the worst trans-baiters in the world today and then posting them on the very platform where she promotes her hate."
Meanwhile, another commented: "This post, in JUNE, while it’s still Pride Month. Really ?!"
Critics flooded Instagram with transgender pride flags, with one user questioning whether the Queen's commitment to literacy applied to "all young people" or "only some."
However, some commenters rallied to Ms Rowling's defence, with certain users describing the pair as "inspirational."
Ms Rowling has long championed women's spaces and has been quick to criticise institutions for failing to introduce single-sex areas.
The author contributed £70,000 towards legal costs for For Women Scotland, the campaign group whose challenge ultimately led to the UK Supreme Court ruling the legal definition of woman should include only those assigned female at birth.
In February this year, Ms Rowling accused doctors involved in those practices as "barbarous activists", describing youth gender medicine as "one of the worst medical scandals of all time".
With the Royal Family often choosing to send messages through images, the snapshot of the Queen next to Ms Rowling sends a powerful statement.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment on any further details and insisted their shared passion for literature is what was discussed.
