JKR worker found dead in Kuala Selangor store room, death attributed to asthma attack

A PUBLIC works department employee was found dead in a store room at the Tanjong Keramat branch of the Public Works Department (JKR) in Kuala Selangor yesterday morning.

Kuala Selangor district police chief Superintendent Azaharudin Tajudin said his team received an emergency call regarding the discovery at 7.36am.

“Initial investigation identified the deceased as a 41-year-old local man. A physical examination of the body revealed no signs of foul play,” he said when contacted.

Medical personnel from the Ministry of Health confirmed the man was already deceased upon arrival. A post-mortem was conducted at the Forensic Department of Tanjong Karang Hospital and concluded that the cause of death was an asthma attack.

“The case has been classified as No Further Action (NFA),” Azaharudin said. - October12, 2025
