Mazda has unveiled a refreshed version of its iconic brand symbol at the ongoing Japan Mobility Show 2025 (JMS 2025), marking a new chapter in the company’s visual identity and design philosophy.

According to the company, the new emblem reflects Mazda’s enduring belief in shaping the future through innovation and human-centered experiences.

The updated symbol retains the familiar ‘M’ motif introduced in 1997, representing a pair of soaring wings that embody Mazda’s spirit of progress and continuous self-reform. Now rendered with a sleeker, more refined form, the new design enhances visibility, especially in digital environments while maintaining the sense of motion and vitality that defines the brand.

Alongside the emblem, Mazda has also introduced a new script-style wordmark that presents the “Mazda” name in a more fluid and expressive form. This move aligns with a growing trend among global automakers adopting handwritten-style logos to convey warmth, personality, and a stronger human connection.

The new brand symbol and wordmark are already being featured on Mazda’s corporate website and across its Japan Mobility Show 2025 booth. Both the new and current versions will continue to be used strategically across different platforms and media to strengthen Mazda’s global identity.

Through this refreshed look, Mazda aims to express its core value of being “Radically Human,” pursuing not just the “Joy of Driving,” but also the “Joy of Living” through meaningful, emotionally resonant mobility experiences.
