Former Manchester United striker Joe Jordan has recalled joining AC Milan in 1981.
The Scot admits a local journalist helped him land the move.
He told La Stampa: "English teams were courting me, in April I went to see Liverpool-Bayern and met Tony Damascelli, an Italian journalist. He asked about the future and it was he who reported me to the Rossoneri managers.v
"I was 30 years old and I was used to it, yet I got excited. I wanted to repay people's love and I was happy with the excellent start.
"Then again, it's not easy to deal with new cultures, languages and tactics."
