Joe Wicks launches new free summer fitness series for parents and children

  • TV fitness coach Joe Wicks is encouraging parents to promote active mornings with their children this summer.
  • Wicks is promoting his free, five-minute animated fitness series, “Activate”.
  • A recent poll by Censuswide of 2,000 parents in England revealed that 88 per cent worry their children will have too much sedentary time over the summer, with only 18 per cent thinking their children will achieve 60 minutes of activity every day.
  • The “Activate” programme, which is government-backed and available on YouTube and CBeebies, aims to provide a simple way for children to incorporate short bursts of exercise into their day.
