John Lithgow makes history at 2026 Tony Awards as Death of a Salesman triumphs

  • The 79th annual Tony Awards ceremony, hosted for the first time by Grammy-winning singer Pink, took place at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, celebrating the best of Broadway plays and musicals from the past year.
  • Schmigadoon! secured the coveted Best Musical award, also winning Best Original Score, Best Orchestrations, and Best Book of a Musical, while the Pulitzer Prize-winning production Liberation was named Best Play.
