Police apprehended four youths, aged between 15 and 20, in connection with the alleged kidnapping of three teenage boys from a supermarket in Skudai on Saturday, June 15.

Johor Bahru Utara District police chief, ACP Balveer Singh Mahindar Singh, reported that the arrests took place at 8 pm on Sunday, June 16. The police also confiscated the vehicle believed to have been used in the kidnapping and recovered all of the victims’ belongings. The suspects include three juveniles, who have been remanded for four days until Thursday, June 20. The case is currently under investigation under several sections of the Penal Code: Section 363, which pertains to kidnapping; Section 324, which deals with causing hurt with weapons; and Section 506, which addresses criminal intimidation.

The swift action by the police has brought a sense of relief to the local community, which is concerned for the safety of their children. ACP Balveer Singh emphasized the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in preventing such incidents. He also assured the public that the police force is committed to ensuring justice and the safety of all residents.

This incident highlights the need for increased awareness and preventive measures to protect vulnerable groups, particularly teenagers, from becoming victims of crimes. Authorities are urging parents and guardians to educate their children about personal safety and to encourage them to report any suspicious activities immediately.

The police continue to investigate the motives behind the kidnapping and any potential connections to other criminal activities. The community's cooperation remains crucial in aiding the police to bring the perpetrators to justice and to maintain the peace and safety of the region.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the motive behind the incident, according to a statement released today.

On June 15, around 8 pm, three 14-year-old victims were abducted by a group of approximately 10 individuals, one of whom was known to the victims. The abductors used three cars to transport the victims to an unknown location. The authorities are working diligently to uncover the reasons behind this disturbing event and ensure the safety of the victims.

Balveer Singh reported that the suspects assaulted the victims, took nude photographs, and threatened to disseminate the images if the incident was exposed. Afterwards, the suspects stole the victims' belongings and abandoned them at the crime scene.

The victims, who had bruises on their faces and hands, were rescued with the public's assistance. They were sent to the hospital for treatment before heading to the police station to file a report at 6:45 am on Sunday, June 16.
