Johor Man Missing For 2 Days After Telling Wife He Was Going Out To Meet Friend
The family of a businessman is worried sick after he left the home two days ago and was not heard from since.

China Press reported that the man is 38-year-old Liu Kaixian (transliteration), who lives in Skudai with his wife and two children.

It also reported that Liu told his wife that he was going out to meet a friend at the Sutera area and left the home at around 12.30pm.

However, he never came back home and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue pants.

Dashcam & head unit missing from SUV

Speaking to the Chinese daily, Liu’s cousin said parking ticket records showed that Liu had parked his Toyota Vellfire at around 1:31pm along Jalan Sutera Tanjung 8/2 near the Tea Garden coffeeshop.

He added Liu was always busy with work and never went anywhere without his mobile phone, making it highly unusual for him to suddenly lose contact.

Liu’s cousin said the last message Liu left for his wife on WhatsApp was at about 2:10pm, where he said he was “waiting for someone”.

His last online status was recorded at around 2:30pm and that was when all communication came to an end.

The family later found Liu’s Toyota Vellfire near Skudai Parade and found that both its dashcam and head unit had been removed, leading them to fear something sinister had occurred.

Appeal for help

A police report was later lodged at the Skudai police station and the family also contacted relatives, friends, and business associates to track down Liu. Unfortunately, none of them had seen him.

They also visited business premises and reviewed CCTV footage near the area, but it yielded no results so far.

The family is appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Public Bank or Tea Garden in Taman Sutera Utama between 1pm and 3pm on July 29 or may have dashcam footage or related information to contact the family at 012-7919099 or police.
