LAHAD DATU: Residents here are urged to join hands to make the independence programme a success in order to create a sense of patriotism and belonging.
District Officer, Firuz Idzualdeen Mohd Dzul, said various programmes had been planned and organised through the government agencies, central government, schools, higher education centres and village level to fuel the celebration of the National Month such as National Day parade, decorated car competition, lantern festival and several other events on Sept 8.
He said the leadership of both Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Sabah was valued for having successfully steered and driven the country towards a more sustainable future in line with the theme of the National and Malaysia Day 2023 celebrations which is “Determination of Unity, Full of Hope”.
