Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Information Chief Datuk Joniston Bangkuai has dismissed speculation that PBS and Star may leave the coalition, calling such a move politically senseless.
Joniston, who is also PBS Information Chief and Kiulu Assemblyman, said there is no push from within either party to break away from GRS, which they helped establish.
He was responding to a recent article quoting analysts suggesting both parties would be “better in than out” of the coalition as the state election nears.

Joniston added that the focus should now be on consolidating GRS’s message and proving it deserves the people’s continued trust.
