KIULU: Kiulu Assemblyman cum Assistant Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Joniston Bangkuai said putting safety first and providing quality services to holiday-makers is a must for all players in the tourism sector.

Hence, he urged stakeholders to invest in comprehensive training programmes and strictly maintain high safety standards apart from upgrading of skills.

Joniston particularly advised riverine operators and the surrounding communities during the launch of the Pertubuhan Arus Deras Sabah (Arusdesa) and

Pulou Kelapa Heritage Tourism and Recreation Centre in Kampung Malangang Lama in Kiulu early this week.
