Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has claimed that Chelsea are like drunken sailors" in the transfer market.

The Blues have been on a massive spending spree of nearly half a billion since Todd Boehly took over as co-owner of the club last spring.

Chelsea have secured record signing Enzo Fernandez after paying his buyout clause to Benfica on deadline day.

Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, Datro Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos and Mykhalo Mudryk are their other winter signings.

Speaking on his talkSPORT show, Jordan said: The top six clubs, which Chelsea aren't but in their minds they are... and they're certainly spending like one, they're spending like drunken sailors!

Chelsea will have accounted for, in these two transfer markets, nearly 25% of the entire spend in this country!"
