Spanish reporter Fernando Sanz has scoffed at Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola's claims of disputing his reporting.

Guardiola has denied Sanz's report that Erling Haaland's contract carries a buyout clause.

However, Sanz was back on El Chiringuito last night and said: "It 's up to Guardiola to say what he has said. The clause exists and I still can't say the amount".

"I remember that when he was at Dortmund people said there was no clause and that benefited the Manchester City and was able to sign him. The signing of Luis Figo comes to mind, who said it was all a lie in a newspaper and the next day he was in Madrid.

"Guardiola said that due to the pandemic crisis they could not make signings and months later they signed Haaland. Each one says what is convenient. I am not saying that they have exclusive priority. I am saying that, in this case, there is a clause with Beneficial conditions to go to Real Madrid.

"Another comes and puts 10 times more and he prefers to go to another place, he will still leave."
