The Terengganu Road Transport Department (JPJ) recently revealed that it has issued a total of 746 summonses for various offences in just 2 days of the Special Hari Raya Aidiladha Operation (Ops HRAA) 2025 in the state.
During the same period, the department also inspected 6,006 vehicles, including lorries, buses, motorcycles, cars and other private vehicles.

BERNAMA quoted Terengganu JPJ director Zamri Samion as saying that out of the 746 summonses, the most common offences involved motorcyclists not wearing helmets and running red lights.
Furthermore, Terengganu JPJ is also targeting a 25% reduction in accident rates and a 10% drop in fatalities during the operation.
He added,
“In the first 2 days of operation, we also seized 25 vehicles, including a lorry with serious technical issues involving its tyres, lack of insurance and expired road tax,”
Besides that, Zamri said that 110 JPJ enforcement personnel in Terengganu were involved in Ops HRAA 2025.
The operation focuses on 7 major offences that contribute to accidents, namely speeding, running red lights, overtaking on double lines, driving on the emergency lane, reckless overtaking or blocking others from overtaking, queue-jumping, and using mobile phones while driving.
Ops HRAA 2025 has been ongoing since 4 June and will end on 10 June.
