
Kota Kinabalu: A turtle hatchery centre will be set up soon within the compound of reputable tourism-based resort company, JSK Mantanani Island Resorts in Kota Belud, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the company and the Sabah Wildlife Department (SWD) on Friday.
Both demonstrated a commitment to safeguarding the delicate marine ecosystem of Mantanani Island.
JSK Group of Companies Managing Director Datuk Johnny Wong Chen Yee said it is embarking on a significant milestone in environmental conservation development focusing on protecting turtles on the island, by making it a sanctuary in the long-run.
