AMPANG, Dec 26 — The Jualan Ehsan Rahmah (JER) affordable daily necessities sales programme, which currently sells six primary products to Selangor’s residents, will be expanded to 12 products starting next year.
State executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Dato Izham Hashim said the enhancements, which are not limited to food products, aim to improve accessibility for residents to essential items, thereby alleviating the cost of living burden.

“This programme offers products at prices lower than the market rate. Hence, we are adding six more items, not all of which are food products, but they are certainly essential.
“At the same time, we will also increase the number of JER locations and implement other changes to ensure that residents continue to benefit,” he during the handover ceremony for the Agro Urban and Community Garden Assistance programme today.
The Pandan Indah state assemblyman added that approximately RM10 million in subsidies have been borne by the state government this year to implement the affordable basic goods sales programme.
Taking place at approximately 1,800 locations this year, in addition to mega-scale sales during festive seasons, JER offers six main products: chicken, beef, eggs, mackerel, cooking oil, and rice.
